Who: A modern CAT B office fit-out within the prestigious 30 Semple Street development in Edinburgh, delivering approximately 8,200 sq ft of high-quality workspace. The project created a flexible working environment incorporating open-plan office areas, collaboration spaces and private meeting rooms within a sustainable, high-performance office building.

Commission: Mechanical and Electrical design support for the delivery of a flexible and future-ready workplace. Services included the integration and coordination of building services within the existing office shell, ensuring compatibility with the CAT B fit-out requirements and agile workplace strategy. Low Carbon Consultants providing mechanical and electrical design solutions to support energy efficiency, occupant comfort and long-term flexibility. The project focused on creating a high-performance working environment aligned with modern workplace expectations, sustainability objectives and evolving occupier needs
Jul's, 11 Waterloo Place, St James's, London
Client: Jul’s Restaurant
Who: Situated within the prestigious St James’s district of London, Jul’s occupies a landmark period building characterised by its grand proportions, impressive ceiling heights and elegant historic façade. The project transformed the space into a distinctive, high-end hospitality destination, carefully blending contemporary dining experiences with the character and heritage of the existing building.

Commission: Electrical Building Services design for a premium hospitality fit-out. Services included the design and specification of LV electrical distribution, internal and external lighting, small power installations, sub-metering, and life safety systems. The electrical strategy was developed to support the operational requirements of a modern restaurant while respecting the heritage fabric of the building. Emphasis was placed on creating atmospheric lighting schemes, providing resilient power infrastructure for front and back-of-house operations, and integrating fire alarm and emergency lighting systems in compliance with current standards. Brontide Consulting Ltd delivered a coordinated, high-performance electrical design solution that enhances customer experience, operational efficiency and long-term adaptability within this unique historic setting.
The Ferry Boat Inn, North Fambridge
Client: The Ferry Boat Inn
Who: Grade II Listed 16th century building, the Ferry Boat Inn offers a choice of characterful bars, a spacious new dining area, beautifully designed and self-contained B&B accommodation.

Commission: Mechanical and Electrical design drawings and specification including Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery, Air Source Heat Pump & LED Lighting. Low Carbon Consultants offering Mechanical and Electrical design advise against the latest building regulations including Approved Document L2A: Conservation of fuel and power which supports the energy efficiency requirements of the Building Regulations. Issue of SBEM BRUKL Report and Energy Performance Certificate.
Osea Island, Essex
Client: Portbello Trust
Architect: Plater Claiborne
Who: Osea, a private island frequented by celebrities and the fashion and music industry elite, sits across almost 400 acres of idyllic countryside and four miles of beach. A selection of charming cottages, apartments and grand houses are available for holidays and family get-togethers, although the entire Island can also be hired for private events, something that has made it a popular celebrity getaway.
Commission: Providing Mechanical and Electrical designs services for refurbishment of the East Village and construction of new West Village. Undertake a feasibility study of the existing primary services infra-structure currently serving the Island to ascertain its capacity and suitability for retaining to serve the current and future development projects.
Premier Inn, St Albans
Client: Rockspring
Architect: Stride Treglown
Who: 123 bed hotel and retail units on this site, within a conservation area and including a locally listed building was very challenging. New retail units were created on the busy St Peter Street frontage while the hotel is entered from Adelaide Street where an extensively glazed frontage allows views to and from the restaurant, while on the upper floors the bedrooms are wrapped round a four sided courtyard.
Commission: Full detailed design of M&E services of 123 Bedroom Hotel & Restaurant. 3No. Retail full design duties. The hotel has been designed to be energy and water efficient in order to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
