Ian Willis
An experienced and versatile mechanical engineer specialising in Low to Zero Carbon Designs and Energy efficient for a wide spectrum of construction projects, Ian has over 35 years’ experience within the Building Services industry.
Ian has worked for Consultancies producing detailed designs for tender and installation, and has been involved in design all areas of the building services industry including but not limited to educational, retail, industrial, commercial, sustainable and low carbon engineering, health, and residential.
Dan Smith
Director – Electrical Engineer
A proven and established electrical engineer with a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from successfully completed projects covering all aspects of electrical design for a variety of construction projects.
Dan has over 20 years experience of working within the construction industry. After leaving secondary education, Dan started his career working for an Electrical contractor obtaining City and guilds apprlentiship and became an electrician. He moved into the electrical contracts management side and began to be involved on the day to day running of the electrical construction of projects and part of a team on large high rise office buildings within Canary Wharf.
Dan then began his career in electrical consultancy. He has been working within the consultancy industry designing, producing and managing electrical services packages/specifications/surveys for a variety of different sectors including education, residential and commercial.
His career involves working within a M&E team alongside building surveyors and architects, this has allowed him to gain a varied experience and an extensive understanding of the built environment. He was involved through all stages of the construction process working from initial client liaising right through to project hand over on numerous contracts.
Ross Malcolm
Director – Mechanical Engineer / Energy Assessor / Low Carbon Consultant
An experienced and versatile mechanical engineer specialising in Low to Zero Carbon Designs and Energy efficient for a wide spectrum of construction projects. For over 20 years, Ross has produced detailed design of a variety of projects issued for Tender. Duties undertaken on a typical project include initial Utility surveys, including application for the new supplies, design calculations, CAD drawings, specification of equipment, attending design team / site meetings, through to snagging of M&E items before practical completion.
Mechanical Services qualifications have been achieved through college and the industry governing body, CIBSE. Further on and off-site training includes attending regular CPD presentations. Ross is regularly researching the latest renewable energy systems, energy efficient technologies, passive design measures and government schemes, due to the continued on-going developments within the industry.
A registered Low Carbon Consultant and Energy Assessor, Ross is able to undertake the thermal modelling calculations and productions of Part L calculations including Energy Performance Certificates.
